Michael Colgrass, an American-born Canadian composer began his studies as a percussionist. In this video, Michael talks about his inspiration to become a drummer at the age of eight. He recalls that day in his new autobiography, Adventures of an American Composer. After you watch the video, leave a comment and let us know how you started playing drums.
