September is almost over and for most of us, we are into the 4th or 5th week of our semester. What have you been reading? What new piece are you practicing? What have you been listening to? It has been a busy week for me. Both of my kids are now in preschool and I am preparing for a faculty recital at the end of October. I hope you have a great week and please share something new for us to check out in the comments below. (more…)
We are half way through September and we are nearing the end of the MLB Season. (Go Dodgers). Yesterday, I wrote a post about “Why Do We Study Music?” Please check it out and share it with other music educators. I would love any feedback on the post as well as any links to additional supporting documents. Have a great week and thanks for your continued support. (more…)

Today’s guest post is by return contributor Ben Wahlund. Ben is a percussionist, composer, and educator based in the Chicago area and earlier this year shared Of Drumming and Farming (his PASIC Manifesto) on DrumChattr. If you have something you would like to contribute, please send it us and we will be glad to check it out.
