Thank you for your continued support and here’s to more percussion education in the coming year. I appreciate everyone who supported Percussion Education’s Amazon Wish List. It is always great to hear from you. Please leave a comment below and say hi. Here are the top 5 posts from 2017.

1) Mitchell Peters (1935-2017). Long time principal timpanist of the LA Philharmonic, prolific composer and percussion educator passed away.

2) Raynor Carroll Retirement. The top two posts feature percussionists from the LA Philharmonic. Congrats to Raynor Carroll on a great career!

3) Fractalia by Owen Clayton Condon. A great piece by former Third Coast Percussionist Owen Clayton Condon.

4) What is Proper Stage Etiquette?. Inspired by a masterclass by Barbara Matthews, this is definitely a post to share with young percussionists.

5) How to practice effectively…for just about anything. Who doesn’t like a Ted Conference video? This is a brilliant video about practicing more effectively.

Happy New Year!
